Jesus, I trust in You. O Sacred Heart of Jesus, I place all my trust in You.

O Blood and Water, which gushed forth from the Heart of Jesus as a fount of Mercy for us. I trust in You.

St. Faustina, the twentieth century Polish nun who became the Lord’s Apostle of Mercy, received many private revelations from Jesus and Mary, especially concerning the Devotion to His Sacred Heart, the Fount of Mercy. Jesus asked for her to share His great desire to give humanity His mercy, which comes to us in several ways in these latter times. Jesus revealed to her the divine decree for the Feast of Divine Mercy, which the Church has approved for the Second Sunday of Easter. He also expressed His desire to be venerated through the Image of His Sacred Heart, which is the Image of Divine Mercy, saying: “I promise that the soul that will venerate this image will not perish. I also promise victory over its enemies already here on earth, especially at the hour of death. I myself will defend it as My own glory… By means of this image I shall grant many graces to souls. It is to be a reminder of the demands of My mercy, because even the strongest faith is of no avail without works.” Jesus asks us to imitate Him in being merciful – in deeds, words, and prayer.

The Perfect Devotion centered on the Heart of Christ is a final gift of Christ’s love for humanity in these evil times, as St. Margaret Mary confirms: “This devotion (of His Sacred Heart is) the last effort of His love that He will grant to men in these latter ages, in order to withdraw them from the empire of Satan which He desires to destroy.” God has waited until our times to draw our special attention to His Heart because He wants His Heart to be the remedy of our souls in these times, to rouse us from our lethargy so that we will become inflamed with Divine Love and seek consolation in His Most Compassionate Heart. God is asking our help in the destruction of Satan’s empire! And it is through sacrifice and mercy that Satan will be defeated, and then will come justice. Jesus said to St. Faustina:

You will prepare the world for My final coming. Speak to the world about My mercy… It is a sign for the end times. After it will come the Day of Justice.

St. Faustina writes about a vision she received showing her how powerful the Chaplet of Divine Mercy prayer is for saving sinners: “I saw a great light, with God the Father in the midst of it. Between this light and the earth I saw Jesus nailed to the Cross, and in such a way that God, wanting to look upon the earth, had to look through Our Lord’s wounds and I understood that God blessed the earth for the sake of Jesus… I saw an Angel, the executor of God’s wrath… about to strike the earth… I began to beg God earnestly for the world with words which I heard interiorly (the Chaplet of Divine Mercy). As I prayed in this way, I saw the Angel’s helplessness, and he could not carry out the just punishment.” As with the Third Secret of Fatima, this prophetic vision concerns the coming of God’s just wrath for the sins of humanity, of Our Lady’s intervention, and the heavenly calling for victim souls to offer sacrifices and reparation for sinners. What a motivation this is to us!

In addition to these words of Our Lord, the Mother of Mercy, the Blessed Virgin, gave to Faustina this prophecy and instruction:

You have to speak to the world about His great mercy and prepare the world for the Second Coming of Him who will come, not as a merciful Savior, but as a just Judge. Oh how terrible is that day! Determined is the day of justice, the day of divine wrath. The angels tremble before it. Speak to souls about this great mercy while it is still the time for granting mercy. To St. Faustina, Our Lord stated, “I am prolonging the time of mercy for the sake of (sinners),” while warning, “But woe to them if they do not recognize this time of My visitation.” So, let us cry for souls!

St. Faustina received a prophecy from the Lord about the end times, about a coming event for the whole world – a divine Warning of Mercy. Jesus spoke to St. Faustina about a great darkness and a Great Sign of the Cross, explaining what would accompany it, saying:

Before I come as a just judge, I am coming first as ‘King of Mercy!’ Let all men now approach the throne of my mercy with absolute confidence! Some time before the last days of final justice arrive, there will be given to mankind a great sign in the heavens of this sort: all the light of the heavens will be totally extinguished… There will be a great darkness over the whole earth. Then a great sign of the cross will appear in the sky. From the openings from where the hands and feet of the savior were nailed will come forth great lights which will light up the earth for a period of time. This will happen before the very final days. It is the sign for the end of the world. After it will come the days of justice! Let souls have recourse to the fount of my mercy while there is still time! Woe to him who does not recognize the time of my visitation…

In the Old Covenant I sent prophets wielding thunderbolts to My people. Today I am sending you with My mercy to the people of the whole world. I do not want to punish aching mankind, but I desire to heal it, pressing it to My merciful Heart. I use punishment when they themselves force Me to do so; My hand is reluctant to take hold of the sword of justice. Before the Day of Justice, I am sending the Day of

Mercy This prophecy of the coming divine Warning of the “Great Sign of the Cross” in the sky is supported by Christ in Scripture, when He says:

Immediately after the distress of those days the sun will be darkened, the moon will not give its light, the stars will fall from the sky and the powers of the heavens will be shaken. And then the sign of the Son of man will appear in heaven; then, too, all the peoples of the earth will beat their breasts; and they will see the Son of man coming on the clouds of heaven with power and great glory.
