Jesus said, “Do whatever is within your power to spread devotion to My mercy. I will make up for what you lack.” (Diary 1074)
“Souls who spread the honour of My mercy I shield through their entire lives as a tender mother her infant, and at the hour of death I will not be a Judge for them, but the Merciful Saviour.” (Diary 1075) By these words Jesus is encouraging us to spread the worship of Divine Mercy. The Lord directs a singular promise toward priests; “Hardened sinners will repent on hearing their words when they speak about My unfathomable mercy, about the compassion I have for them in My heart . . . I will give wondrous power; I will anoint their words and touch the hearts of those to whom they will speak.” (Diary 1521)
Priests and lay people are apostles of Divine Mercy chiefly through the example of a deep Christian life as expressed by a boundless trust in God and a merciful love of their neighbour. Jesus told Saint Faustina; “I desire trust from My creatures. Encourage souls to place great trust in My fathomless mercy.” (Diary 1059)
Jesus said, “Speak to the world about My mercy; let all mankind recognise My unfathomable mercy. It is a sign for the end times; after it will come the day of justice.”(Diary 848)
“I am giving you three ways of exercising mercy toward your neighbour: the first – by deed, the second – by word, and the third – by prayer. In these three degrees is contained the fullness of mercy, and it is an unquestionable proof of love for Me.” (Diary 742)
